Registration
Once you have engaged our firm and provided your email address, you will receive a link from our software provider, along with an automated appointment invitation. Click on the ‘Accept appointment invitation’ link, register with our software provider and set your own password. On the page that then appears, select “Accept”; you will then be taken to the identification method selection screen:
If you have a full version of ID-Austria, select “ID-Austria login” and confirm your identity using your ID-Austria (takes approx. 1 min). This completes the registration with our software provider, and you can then arrange an online signing appointment with our firm.
If you do not have a full version of ID-Austria, select ‘Video Identification’ and you will be redirected to a short video identification process with a contractor (duration approx. 10–15 minutes). During this process, you will receive a Qualified Electronic Signature (QES), which is required for the signing appointment:
Please follow the relevant steps and have a valid passport or identity card to hand (other forms of ID, such as driving licences, are not accepted).
Once you have completed the identification process with our contractor, you will receive an email from them; click on ‘Create certificate’ and follow the relevant steps. You will need to set your own certificate password at this stage. Please make a note of this password, as you will need it later when signing; the certificate password cannot be reset. You will then receive an activation code via text message from another contractor and must confirm the terms and conditions.
This completes the registration and creation of your digital certificate, and you can then arrange an online signing appointment with our law firm.
In order for you to use our online legal services, the above registration and – unless you have the full version of ID-Austria – the creation of your digital certificate with our software provider must be completed in advance of the online notarisation appointment. For organisational reasons, this must be done no later than two working days before the intended appointment.
